The Information Services Department plays integral part in Bureau's operations, and includes assisting with the organization and execution of training workshops, seminars and activities pertaining to the work of the Bureau and its standards development partners such as CROSQ, ISO and Codex Alimentarius.
The Information Service Department is the PRO arm for the Bureau, publicizing the work of the Bureau and engaging the public, technical experts and interested stakeholders in the work of the Bureau.

Submission of a proposal can be made either via email or by bringing a hard copy of the completed form to the Bureau’s office.
A notice will be issued for commenting on the work item once approved as a national need. Therefore, it is important to check the website regularly for notices requesting comments as a vital part for the development process of the standard.

The service of calibration allows us to check and determine the accuracy of weighing and measuring instruments by comparison with a standard traceable to the International System of Units (SI). In this case we issue a certificate documenting the Error and Uncertainty in the instrument’s indications. Calibrations are performed as frequently as required by the owner of the Instrument. Rates are mainly based on the accuracy class of the instrument.
