This standard specifies requirements for the composition of food products derived from fermented and dried cocoa beans. This standard does not apply to:
a) raw cocoa products, that is, products made from cocoa beans which are either unfermented, or unroasted or both and which can be either wet or dry;
b) confectionery and other food products where chocolate or cocoa powder is merely a flavour; or
c) non-food products, including, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.
