To submit a proposal for the development/adoption of a new standard, a New Work Item Proposal (NWIP) form must be completed and submitted to the Bureau. Submission can be made either by uploading the completed form via Proposal for New Standards page or by bringing the completed form to the Bureau’s office.
The service (development/adoption) undertaken is based on the demands of interested stakeholders and general public. During the development/adoption process, a notice will be issued to stakeholders/general public for evaluation on the draft standard. It is important to check the website regularly for notices requesting evaluation as the evaluation process is vital to the development and/or improvement of the final standard being approved and adopted as the national standard.
